PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the light incident on nearby optical fibers by reflection by each of the optical fibers when the light is to be incident on a plurality of the lenses of a microlens array from a plurality of the optical fibers. SOLUTION: One major face of a translucent substrate 10 is provided with convex lenses L<SB>11</SB>, L<SB>12</SB>to L<SB>21</SB>, L<SB>22</SB>, etc., two-dimensionally arrayed along the X-and Y-directions and another major face of the substrate 10 is provided with slope forming sections K<SB>11</SB>, K<SB>12</SB>to K<SB>21</SB>, K<SB>22</SB>, etc., respectively facing the convex lenses, such as L<SB>11</SB>. The individual slope forming sections form the slopes having an inclination of 5 to 15°relative to the other major face of the substrate 10. The directions of the individual slopes are so set as to be different from both of the X-and Y-directions on the other major face of the substrate 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
