PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring a rainfall which can accurately measure a section average rainfall with high time resolution and to provide a rainfall measuring system which has the apparatus and which can accurately measure a planar rainfall with the high time resolution. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for measuring the rainfall includes a transmitter disposed at one end of a predetermined section to transmit a radio wave, a receiver 10 disposed at the other end of the predetermined section to receive the wave transmitted by the transmitter 10, and a rainfall calculating means 50 for calculating an attenuation amount of the wave in the predetermined section based on the received power of the wave received by the receiver 20, obtaining coefficientsαandβbased on the attenuation amount and calculation the rainfall in the predetermined section according to a relational formula of the attenuation amount of the wave and the rainfall by using the attenuation amount, and the coefficientsαandβ.
