<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution service system which predicts user's movement destination and a direction thereof, on the basis of positional information about a mobile information terminal of the user, and distributes suitable area information or the like to the predicted movement destination. <P>SOLUTION: The information distribution service system has a plurality of user terminals, a computer system, and a plurality of information provider terminals. The computer system includes a user information database for registering information categories, for use in information distribution service with respect to the user of the mobile terminal; an information provider database for registering the locations of the information provider terminals for information to be distributed and to be notified, as well as the information thereon; and a position manager for inferring the positional change in the mobile terminal on a time series basis, on the basis of an inference equation of the direction and position of the mobile terminal being moved according to the positional information of the terminal, deciding the provider for information to be distributed and notified, when the provider is positioned at the destination of the terminal estimated from the location of the provider, and distributing the information to the terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
