<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve control response of exhaust gas recirculation quantity at start of a vehicle in an engine exhaust gas recirculation controlling device. <P>SOLUTION: This device detects a brake operation state, throttle opening, vehicle speed, and detect start of the vehicle according to detected brake operation state, throttle opening and vehicle speed, and corrects and reduces target exhaust gas recirculation rate before start of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
