<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device and image reading method capable of ensuring high image precision by using a line camera. <P>SOLUTION: In an image reading device for imaging an object to be imaged stored in a storing part relatively moving to a sub-scanning direction by a line camera having a light receiving part in which a plurality of pixels are arrayed in a main scanning direction to store image data, a moving portion moving integrally with the storing part is provided with a reference mark so that the object to be imaged and the reference mark can be simultaneously imaged at the time of executing image pickup. At the time of writing the image data in an image storing part, a reference signal 20 equivalent to the reference mark is detected from a one-dimensional video signal, and an image signal 21 is written in the predetermined address of the image storing part as the image data after a predetermined timing delayed only by a time T1 since the point of time of detection. Thus, even when the oscillation displacement of an electronic component is generated in the main scanning direction, high image precision can be ensured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
