WASTEPAPER-COMPOUNDED NEWSPRINT PAPER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide waste paper-compounded newsprint paper which has good printability and has high brightness, even when the amount of an added filler such as white carbon is reduced (or even when the filler is not added).

SOLUTION: This waste paper-compounded newsprint paper compounded with water paper pulp is characterized by containing magazine waste paper pulp in an amount of≥5% and having brightness of 53.5% defined by JIS-P 8123. It is preferable that the magazine waste paper pulp or waste paper pulp containing magazine waste paper is mixed with a deinking agent at two or more places by a multistep adding method.
