<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal and inexpensive IC card system using a contact type, contactless type or combination type IC card for displaying data stored in an EEPROM as a memory. <P>SOLUTION: This IC card is provided with a non-volatile memory 3, a volatile memory 4, a compact arithmetic processor 6(MPU), a contact interface 8 or a non-contact interface 9. This compact arithmetic processor 6 is provided with at least one output port or an input/output port(PORT) 13 or an I/O port 15 for making an LED 2 emit lights. The LED 2 is connected to the port 13 or the I/O port 15.
