BATTERY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having high capacity and excellent cycle characteristics.

SOLUTION: A positive electrode 12 contained in a case can 11 and a negative electrode 14 contained in a case cap 13 are stacked through a separator 15. The negative electrode 14 has a structure in which a negative electrode mix layer 14b is provided in a negative electrode collector 14a. The negative electrode mix layer 14b contains composite powder obtained by making carbon black adsorb at least one of sodium salt and ammonium salt of cellulose. The composite powder prevents a conductive network in the negative electrode mix layer 14b from being broken, because of a function as a cushion and a function to secure conductivity by the carbon black. The sodium salt and ammonium salt of cellulose which the carbon black is made to adsorb prevent the carbon black from causing side reaction with electrolyte and lithium ions from being trapped by the carbon black. The rate of the carbon black to the composite powder is preferably 90 mass % or more.
