<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform more suited adaptive processing by preventing unsuitable processing even when information which is assumed non-consistent accompanies a resulting image as attribute information. <P>SOLUTION: Attached data with image data represented by an image signal are acquired and when a condition assumed non-consistent is present in the image data, an alert thereon is issued to an operator, and the correction of the condition assumed non-consistent or the stop of processing is called to the user.
