PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular travel control device capable of observing the speed limit of each road without burdening a driver. SOLUTION: The travel control device comprises a travel control section (2h) performing a low-speed follow-up traveling which follows a preceding vehicle while limiting a vehicle speed of an own vehicle to the maximum control vehicle speed or less, a speed-limit discriminating section (2f) discriminating a speed limit of a road on which the vehicle travels at present, and a maximum control vehicle speed setting section (2g) setting the maximum control vehicle speed under the low-speed follow-up traveling according to the speed limit. The travel control device performs the low-speed follow-up traveling without exceeding the maximum control vehicle speed which is the speed limit of each road or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
