PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for uniform linear velocity, recording in which a uniform linear velocity record can be rotated at the uniform linear velocity. SOLUTION: In an LP record, a linear velocity is 516. 6 mm/second in the outermost groove and 209. 4 mm/second in the innermost groove, and the speed of the outermost groove is more than required from the viewpoint of the innermost groove. When all sound grooves of the LP record are made to rotate at a necessary and sufficient speed, such as that of the innermost groove, a an excessive speed is eliminated to then make the LP record very compact as a whole, accomplishing this recording system for rotating at the uniform linear velocity .
