PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cartridge whose appearance is satisfactorily kept while maintaining the function of a click means having a contact part on the side of a switching member. SOLUTION: In a recording tape cartridge, the operation protrusion 78 of an error erasure preventing plug 74 is exposed to the outside from the operation hole 62 of a housing 12 in which a magnetic tape is housed. When the error erasure preventing plug 74 which is arranged in the housing 12 is moved in the left and right directions along the formation surface of the operation hole 62 by operating the operation protrusion part 78, propriety of the recording of information on the magnetic tape is changed over. When the error erasure preventing plug 74 is moved in accordance with this change, the notch part 82 of the error erasure preventing plug 74 deforms the click pin 72 of the housing 12 elastically and a click-stop feeling is given. The notch part 82 is protruded toward the inside of the housing 12 from a part which is not exposed from the operation hole 62 of the error erasure preventing plug 74. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
