PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a plurality of group names and first and last track numbers belonging to each group even when the total number of tracks of a group information area and the total number of tracks of a track information area are different from each other regarding an MD group compatible minidisk player. SOLUTION: When a track number written in a group information area is different from the total number of tracks written in a track information area, the difference of a last track number written in the group information area from the total number of tracks written in the track information area is displayed, and a plurality of group names read from the group names of the group information area, and first and last track numbers belonging to each group are displayed.
