PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission furnished with a multistage torque converter capable of satisfying travelling performance of a small number of various vehicles without changing a housing. SOLUTION: This power transmission 1 is furnished with a multistage torque converter 2 having first and second stators 8, 9, a main transmission 12 and an auxiliary transmission 13. The auxiliary transmission 14 has a stator shaft 28 with the first stator 8 fixed on it, a stator support gear 29 fixed on the shaft 28, an idler shaft 30, a first idler gear 31 fixed on the shaft 30 and meshed with the gear 29, a second idler gear 32 fixed on the shaft 30 and a counter gear 25 meshed with the gear 32 and fixed on an intermediate shaft 21 of the main transmission 12 and can add output torque of the first stator 8 to torque of the main transmission.
