PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a vehicle which is light in its weight, has a high applicability and a long life. SOLUTION: The bearing device 1 for a vehicle comprises a plural-row type rolling bearings 4 arranged over a hub shaft 2 and a cup-shaped outer lace 31 of a universal joint 3 and rotatably supporting these members. A thickness ranging from an inner lace truck surface 36 of a vehicle inner side of a plural-row rolling bearings 4 to a small diameter side of the inner circumferential surface of the cup-shaped outer lace 31 of the universal joint 3 is properly set. With this arrangement, an accumulative temperature elevation caused by heat of the universal joint 3 and the plural row rolling bearings 4 is prevented while reducing the weight of the device.
