PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tooth observation device capable of clearly observing a region where there is a carious tooth or dental plaque (plaque) which adheres or remains after toothbrushing. SOLUTION: This tooth observation device is equipped with at least two kinds of light sources 5 and 6 different in wavelength for irradiating a tooth 1 and a camera 8 for photographing the reflected light 7 from the tooth 1. The light sources 5 and 6 are changed over to irradiate the tooth with light with a specific wavelength to obtain the image of the tooth surface state. By this method, a healthy tooth and an unhealthy tooth (carious tooth, plaque, or the like) can be observed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
