PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner whose suction port can be rotated in a wide range on a floor by a twisting motion of a proximal handle. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner comprises a main body 100, a flexible suction hose 200, a proximal handle 300, a connecting pipe 400, and a suction port body 550. The suction port body 550 comprises a suction port body 1000 and a universal joint part 1530. A first rotation axis 1533 in the X direction to rotate the suction port body 550 in parallel with a floor face and a second rotation axis 1535 in the Y direction to orthogonally cross the first rotation axis 1533 are equipped on the universal joint part 1530 so that the suction port body 1000 can be turned against a floor face by the twisting motion of the proximal handle 300.
