PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophilic polyurethane resin composition containing dispersed fine particles, causing little increase of viscosity and keeping the transparency even by adding a large amount of the fine particles, and having excellent adhesivity to various materials and good water-absorptivity, antifogging property, transparency, flexibility, writing quality with water-based ink, water resistance, blocking resistance and slipperiness and provide a method for the production of the composition. SOLUTION: The alumina-dispersed hydrophilic polyurethane resin composition is composed of fine alumina particles and a hydrophilic polyurethane resin having a hydrophilic segment and a tert-amino group and obtained by reacting an organic polyisocyanate, a high-molecular weight hydrophilic polyol and/or polyamine and a compound having at least one active-hydrogen-containing group and at least one tert-amino group in the same molecule and, as necessary, a chain extender. The fine alumina particles are stably dispersed in a solution of the hydrophilic polyurethane resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
