PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve cost reduction while keeping real time properties at the time of reception of ultrasonic waves in an ultrasonic receiving device capable of reducing a change in the ultrasonic wave detection sensitivity due to a change in environment of a temperature, or the like, or the irregularity in the detection sensitivity due to the position of an ultrasonic detection element. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic receiving device has a light source for emitting broad-band light, an ultrasonic detection means for modulating the light emitted from the light source on the basis of impressed ultrasonic waves, a spectral means for emitting the light reflected from the ultrasonic detection means in a different direction corresponding to the wavelength of the reflected light, a first light detection means having a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements for detecting the light spectrally diffracted by the spectral means at every wavelength component and a second light detection means for detecting a predetermined wavelength component contained in light spectrally diffracted by the spectral means on the basis of the detection result of the first photodetection means.
