<p>The present invention relates to a method for screening for agents that bind to CBS domains such as found on AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), and agents identified using such an assay. Such agents which bind AMPK are candidates for use in the treatment of, for example, diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidaemia, and heart disease including cardiomyopathies caused by AMPK mutations.</p> |
