The assembly is provided by a contact element housing (2) having chambers (K) for reception of respective electrical contact elements (10) and a locking device (3) attached to the contact element housing, provided with locking elements (F,8) each projecting through a radial opening (4) in a chamber for retaining the inserted contact element. Each locking element has an elastic characteristic in the transverse direction to the chamber longitudinal axis, for allowing insertion of the contact element and providing passive locking of the latter.
