<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator controller, particularly a controller capable of making effective use of regenerated power to continue operation even during power outages. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator controller has a converter which rectifies and converts AC inputs into DC inputs, and an inverter which converts direct current into alternating current to drive a motor. The controller has a DC voltage conversion device connected to a DC part, and an energy storage device connected to the DC voltage conversion device.
