PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal capable of using additional functions which do not need communication functionality under a condition that no electric wave is outputted, and to provide a portable communication terminal capable of explicitly displaying to people around a condition that no electric wave is outputted when additional functions are used by setting the terminal to the condition that no electric wave is outputted. SOLUTION: While a feed line to a communication unit 14 for operating radio communication functionality is configured to be independent from a feed line only to remaining circuits 30 except the communication unit 14, a mode is provided in which electric power is supplied only to the remaining circuits 30 except the communication unit 14 for operating radio communication functionality. Additional functions (such as data input to an address book and execution of games) which do not need radio communications are executed by setting the terminal to this mode. Since no electric power is supplied to the communication unit 14, no electric wave is outputted during execution of the additional functions. In this mode, an off-line marker notifies to people there around that the terminal is off-line and that no electric wave is outputted in the mode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
