PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL (electroluminescent) display device which is capable of being prevented from a conducting failure due to the resistance increase in a cathode or a stepwise disconnection, while lowering the electrical resistance of an anode . SOLUTION: An organic EL display device is formed by arranging more than one organic EL element on a substrate 1, the organic EL element being formed by laminating in order a first electrode 2, an organic layer 3 including a light-emitting layer made at least of an organic light-emitting material, and a second electrode 4, wherein, the thickness of the first electrode 2 is 250 nm to 10μm, and also the relation between a film thickness tc of the second electrode 4 and ti of the first electrode 2 is tc≥ti.
