PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic panel by which the most appropriate gradation display is possible according to illuminance of outside light, an electro-optic device using the electro-optic panel, a driving circuit of the electro-optic device, electronic equipment using the electro-optic device and a driving method of the electro-optic device. SOLUTION: The gradation display suitable for inputted illuminance information most becomes possible and display of a sufficiently vivid and more natural image becomes possible even for a change of the illuminance of the outside light since the electro-optic panel is constituted so that a gradation pattern selection circuit 407 is made to select the most appropriate gradation pattern by the illuminance information from an optical sensor 450 and to change pulse width, for example, of gradation code pulse GCP of a control circuit 403.
