PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To consider a color reproduction range being led from sensitivity characteristics (visual characteristics) in the eyes of a human being in a full-color electrophotography image formation and to control the maximum weight of toner per unit area for each color. SOLUTION: Although the larger the weight of toner per unit area on a transfer material becomes, the wider the color reproduction range becomes, an experiment reveals that light and shade in an image cannot be distinguished by the eyes of the human being even if the weight of toner exceeds that where the chroma of color (c*) becomes maximum. As a result, aγtable is created so that the maximum weight of toner per unit area taking account of the color reproduction range becomes the weight of toner where the chroma of color (c*) becomes maximum and development bias is controlled for each color.
