PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application method of thermal barrier coating for forming a thermal barrier coating layer to protect a jet engine, a gas turbine engine, or a gas turbine from high temperature gas, with improved workability and a shortened application period, and capable of forming the thermal barrier coating layer having a high thermal barrier effect. SOLUTION: The thermal barrier coating layer x formed by performing a process of forming a thermal barrier coating layer x and a process of dispersion heat treatment in the state of having a spring seal 20 mounted on a combustor liner 11 is formed on a thermal barrier coating part 14 on the inside face of the combustor liner 11, and after the dispersion heat treatment is performed in the dispersion heat treatment process, an aging heat treatment is performed in an aging heat treatment process, thereby regaining the strength of the spring seal 20 which is lowered during the dispersion heat treatment, improving the workability and shortening the applying period of the thermal barrier coating application work, and providing an application method for the thermal barrier coating capable of forming a thermal barrier coating layer having a high thermal barrier effect even on the mounting part of the spring seal 20.
