PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saving weight-sorter, in which a plurality of ports for taking out products are provided vertically in order to save the installation space. SOLUTION: In the weight-sorter, there are provided a weight-measuring hopper 40 having a port for dropping a product 31 to be sorted at the top, and sorting-gate devices 50A, 50B disposed under the hopper. Each gate device 50 is formed of plates 15a in a can shape of quadrilateral cross section, and has a main body 15. An upper opening of the main part 15 is connected to the bottom of the outlet of the hopper 40. To the plurality of outlets formed in the plates 15a of the main body 15, gates 5 to be opened by 2nd solenoids are provided in the manner to be freely opened/closed. The gates 5 are selectively opened in accordance with weight signals of a product measured at the hopper 40. Thus, the weight sorter can be constituted three-dimensionally in a multistage structure, minimizing the space for installation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
