<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To write a bar-code as a marking pattern on light sensitive material by using a laser beam focused in a shape of a spot. <P>SOLUTION: A marking device irradiates with a laser beam an X-ray film 12 being transported at a position apart from the focus f of the laser beam emitted from a marking head 42. Thus, dots formed on the X-ray film become approximately uniformly clouded by receiving the energy of the laser beam because the laser beam is irradiated in a defocused state, thereby making the visibility of the dots higher. Moreover, the dots become ellipses having the transport direction as the longitudinal direction, the diameter of the dots is expanded and adjoining dots are connected to form a bar. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
