PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food decomposition apparatus capable of treating food waste efficiently and rapidly. SOLUTION: The food decomposition apparatus is equipped with a separation mechanism part 40 for separating packaged food into food being content and a packaging, a crushing mechanism part 60 for crushing unpacked food and a decomposition mechanism part 10 for producing liquid fertilizer by microbially decomposing food. The food separated by the separation mechanism part 40 and the food crushed by the crushing mechanism part 60 are respectively charged in the decomposition mechanism part 10 automatically.
