摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical functional component which facilitates the alignment of optical fibers, can narrow the spacings between the end surfaces of optical fibers and the end surfaces of lenses and can improve the stability of performance. SOLUTION: The optical functional component is provided with the first gradient index lens 2 which is diagonally polished at the one end surface, first and second ports 5 and 6 which are connected to the diagonally polished end surface 2a, an optical functional element 3 which is connected to the other end surface 2b of the lens 2, the second gradient index lens 4 whose end surface is diagonally polished is arranged with the other end surface 4b to face the end surface 2b of the lens 2 by interposing the element 3 therebetween, and a third port 7 which is connected to the end surface 4a. The optical path length within the lenses reflected to the element 3 from the first port 5 and arriving at the second port 6 is made equal to the optical path length within the lenses transmitted through the element 3 from the first port 5 and arriving at the third port 7.
