PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device forming images in correct positions on recording material and punching holes in correct positions on the recording material at a low cost without reducing productivity. SOLUTION: The image forming device includes an image forming means for forming images on recording material; a detection means by which the end position of the recording material fed to the image forming means is detected in a direction perpendicular to feed direction; and an image formation position control means for controlling the image formation positions on the recording material by controlling the image forming means according to the result of detection by the detecting means. The image forming device also has a punching means having a punching blade for punching holes in the recording material, and a punching position control means for controlling the punching means according to the result of detection by the detecting means to control positions where holes are formed in the recording material.
