PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling sliding member capable of positively preventing acoustic deterioration when a rolling element is used under a high temperature atmosphere, and a manufacturing method for the rolling element used therein. SOLUTION: The rolling sliding member is provided with an inner ring 2 used as an inner side member, an outer ring 3 used as an outer side member, and a plurality of the rolling elements 4 arranged so as to freely roll between the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3. By manufacturing the rolling element 4 used in the rolling sliding member via a process of forming a ground component by carrying out final grinding and then carrying out final heat treatment of removing machining distortion remaining after the final grinding, worsening of waviness under a high temperature atmosphere is prevented to prevent the acoustic deterioration.
