<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacked battery possible to be miniaturized while keeping high energy density and capable of having high reliability without causing short circuit. <P>SOLUTION: This stacked battery is composed of a first electrode plate 7 and a second electrode plate 9 disposed in a rectangular parallelepiped block 11 by making them cross each other. In addition, a shorter-side side end-face-electrode 12 formed on the end face of the first electrode plate 7 and a longer-side side end-face-electrode 13 formed on the end face of the second electrode plate 9 are formed, and the stacked battery 1 is structured so that the width of the longer-side side end-face-electrode 13 in the direction of the longer-side is shorter than the exposed width of the second electrode plate 9 in the direction of the longer-side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
