<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent uneven wear in electrode and uneven in-furnace melting atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: A PWM converter 3 converts an alternating current from a three-phase alternating-current power supply 1 into a direct current, and further carries out balancing currents, approximating the receiving power factor substantially to one, eliminating harmonics, and suppressing supply voltage disturbance. A self-exciting inverter 4 converts a direct current from the PWM converter 3 into a single-phase alternating current, and further applies alternating-current voltage to between the furnace top electrode 12 and the furnace bottom electrode 13 of a refuse incineration ash melting furnace 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
