<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a lighting device to enhance light taking-out efficiency from a light source to a light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device comprises a light guide plate 12, a light source 14, and a cone 16 located between the light guide plate and the light source. The cone 16 is equipped with a base, a pedestal smaller than the base, and a slant face between the base and the pedestal, the light source is arranged in close contact with the pedestal of the cone, the light guide plate is arranged in close contact with the base of the cone, and light is structured to be transmitted from a luminous part of the light source to the light guide plate without the interposition of an air layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
