PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact sensor which can confirm the presence or absence of an impact at a non-energizing time later irrespective of a direction of the impact. SOLUTION: The impact sensor contains a spherical weight 2 of an insulating surface in a rectangular parallelepiped frame 1. Metal foils 3a and 3b are wound on six surfaces of the frame 1. One ends of the foils 3a and 3b are connected to a disconnection diagnosing circuit 4, and the other ends of the foils 3a and 3b are connected to a ground. When an impact of a predetermined value or more is applied from an arbitrary direction of an exterior, the weight 2 breaks the wall surface of the frame 1 and further breaks at least one of the foils 3a and 3b wound on the frame 1. Thus, when the foils 3a and 3b are inspected by the circuit 4 and at least one of the foils 3a and 3b doe not have an electric energization, it is diagnosed that the impact of a predetermined value or more is applied irrespective of the direction of the impact.
