PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Chinese preparation hardly causing injury to human beings and environmental disruption after fertilization by introducing the consideration of a Chinese medicine to a plant, and to provide a method for suppressing germination and propagation of weeds. SOLUTION: The method for suppressing the weeds comprises adding a vehicle and a foaming agent to an oyster shell powder and mirabilite powder respectively containing calcium carbonate and sodium sulfate as main components, mixing them, forming the mixed powder into a tablet, and diffusing the components of the oyster shell powder and mirabilite powder by the diffusing force of carbon dioxide gas after one week to 10 days from the germination of the plant such as paddy rice to prevent the growth of the weeds over a wide range.
