APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TESTING AN ELECTRON GUN

An apparatus and a method for testing an electron gun are hereby provided. The testing apparatus comprises a sensing means having two piezoelectric sensors contacting each sides of the electron gun, one piezoelectric sensor radiating acoustic wave into the electron gun, and the other piezoelectric sensor receiving acoustic wave passing through the electron gun; a pulse receiving means for transforming the electric signal from the piezoelectric sensor into the pulse signal; a display means for displaying the pulse signal from the pulse receiving means; and a signal analyzing means for analyzing the signal from the display means and displaying the results of the analysis.
