The invention relates to a tank for a master cylinder. The inventive assembly comprises a main brake fluid tank (14) which is connected to the master cylinder (12) by means of (i) an intermediary tank (16) which is supported by the master cylinder (12) and (ii) connection means (26, 28) which connect the aforementioned main tank (14) to the intermediary tank (16). The above-mentioned connection means comprise a first conduit (26) which connects a high point (30) of the main tank (14) to the highest point (22) of the intermediary tank (16) and a second conduit (28) which connects a low point (32) of the main tank (14) to the lowest point (24) of the intermediary tank (16).
