PURPOSE: A power amplifier is provided to reduce effectively the power consumption by applying an input signal having a lower power level than a setup value to a bypass unit. CONSTITUTION: A power amplifier includes an input matching unit(50), an amplification unit(60) and an output matching unit(70). The input matching unit(50) matches input impedance of an input signal received from an input terminal. The amplification unit(60) amplifies an output signal of the input matching unit. The output matching unit(70) matches output impedance of an output signal of the amplification unit. The power amplifier further includes a bypass unit(101) and a switch unit(102). The bypass unit(101) is connected between the input terminal and the output terminal to bypass the input signal. The switch unit(102) applies the input signal to the input matching unit or the bypass unit according to a power level of the input signal.
