PURPOSE: To provide a communication terminal capable of avoiding disabled transmission due to a communication error by automatically selecting a network and redialing even when a communication error takes place due to improper selection of a network. CONSTITUTION: A communication error detection section 181 of a system control section 18 of the communication terminal detects a communication error at dialing to an IP network 40 or a public network 50, a communication error analysis section 183 analyzes the detected communication error, a call network discrimination section 185 automatically discriminates whether redialing is made to the IP network 40 or the public network 50 in response to a result of the communication error analysis. Thus, when detecting the communication error at a call to the IP network 40 or the public network 50, the system control section 18 analyzes the communication error and controls automatic discrimination as to whether redialing is made to the IP network 40 or the public network 50 in response to the analysis result.
