PURPOSE: A savonius impeller and a power transmission structure of a vertical axis type wind generating system is provided to increase the generating efficiency of a generator by using peripheral surfaces of savonius impellers as a power transmission unit. CONSTITUTION: A savonius impeller and a power transmission structure of a vertical axis type wind generating system includes a pair of end plates(10,11), two blades(20,21) mounted between the end plates to be applied with drag of wind, and a rotation shaft(30) fixed to the end plates and rotating. A gear-structure power transmission unit(40) is attached to a peripheral surface of a lower one of the end plates. Three generators(60) are symmetrically positioned with respect to the lower end plate. Each of the generators has a rotation shaft formed in the gear structure to be engaged with the power transmission unit. The rotation shafts are connected to poles or armatures of the generators. |
