Method for correcting measurement error of a sensor, where said error comprises a known systematic error, an unknown systematic error and a random error. According to the method, the known and unknown systematic errors are determined independently from each other and compensated independently of each other. The known systematic error, which typically represents 90 percent of the total error, is determined first using a single measurement process, while the unknown systematic error, which typically represents 10 percent of the total error, is determined subsequently using a learning technique. |
