PURPOSE: To prevent an image control method, an image write position control method, or the like from being made complicated in an image forming apparatus using a multibeam laser as a light source. CONSTITUTION: Attachment directions of light sources and the number of turning-back mirrors 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, and 54 are so set that a plurality of light beams emitted from a plurality of light sources(multibeam lasers) having light emission parts two-dimensionally arranged may have directions of axes of two dimensions equalized on corresponding photoreceptors 12, that is, directions of axes of main scanning(for example, X axes) of respective light beams and axes of subscanning(for example, Y axes) may coincide with main scanning directions and subscanning directions on photoreceptors 12 respectively. Since directions of two axes on photoreceptors 12 are equalized and the same constitution is allowed for image signal control in the plurality of light sources, it is unnecessary to individually change control circuits, and thus the image forming device having a high speed and a high image quality is provided at a low cost.
