LIGHT GUIDE FOR TRANSFLECTIVE DISPLAY HAVING HIGH EFFICIENCY

PURPOSE: A light guide for a transflective liquid crystal display having high efficiency is provided to improve optical efficiency of the transflective display. CONSTITUTION: A light guide of a transflective liquid crystal display has a groove pattern for scattering light. The groove pattern is formed at the position corresponding to a transmission part of the liquid crystal display. The groove pattern is formed on the top face of the light guide. Light is delivered only to the transmission part of the liquid crystal display according to the groove pattern of the light guide to obtain high transmission efficiency. A back light is provided at the side of the light guide.
