PURPOSE: A washing machine for removing ticks is provided to improve the sanitary conditions by efficiently exterminating various kinds of ticks attached to clothes, as the cause of asthma and allergy, during washing. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine is composed of a water tub(2) storing water; a washing tub(3) rotated and installed in the water tub for washing and dehydrating; and a pulsator(4) forming water stream. A tick removing course button is formed in a control panel of the washing machine to select the tick removing course by a user. An additive storage container(70) is formed in the water supply passage to supply the additive and water through a water feed valve(60) with detergent in selecting the tick removing course by the user. The additive is supplied to the washing tub with detergent in feeding water, and water is heated at 30 deg. C by controlling a heater(50). Ticks are exterminated by soaking the laundry in water including the additive for 20 minutes to 5 hours. |
