Mounting arrangement at the edge portion of a window pane, especially motor vehicle window

An adhesive (7) is applied on at least one end side of the window pane (1) so that a holding element (2) is formed by means of the setting casting mass in the adhesive and then a function element such as a seal is connected to the holding element. The casting mass is introduced into a mould having two halves which are set opposite one another on the two edge sides of the pane to form the casting mould on an end side of the pane. The moulds are removed after the mass has set. The function element can be an electric pressure detector to switch on an electric drive e.g. for closing the window pane.
