MAGAZINE ASSEMBLY WITH FIXING MEMBER

PURPOSE: A magazine assembly with a fixing member is provided to supply a magazine for easily positioning a guide member that ensures a fastener strip is not skewed in a chamber to prevent jamming of a tool and to minimize a procedure necessary for positioning the guide member. CONSTITUTION: A magazine(50) used for a fastener driving tool(10) comprises a housing(42) for defining a slider(70) and a chamber having a longitudinal axis; a follower positioned in the chamber; a longitudinal guide member disposed in the chamber; the chamber for housing a fastener assembly; and a device for biasing the fastener assembly through the chamber. The slider is slidably engaged with the housing and composed of a latch(80) having a foot biased to the housing to keep the magazine closed. The latch causes the latch foot to disengage from the housing.
