PURPOSE: A method for driving DVD/VCR player is provided to reduce the unnecessary power consumption as well as to supply a convenience in utilizing the DVD/VCR player. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving DVD/VCR player includes a first step of determining(S202) whether the DVD/VCR player is converted into a hot key set mode or not and whether an arbitrary key signal is inputted or not when it is converted into a hot key set mode; a second step of turning on(S206) the power of the DVD/VCR player and converting the mode of the DVD/VCR player into the DVD mode when the arbitrary key signal is inputted from the determined result of the first step(S202); a third step of automatically reproducing(S208) the DVD title arbitrarily inserted into the DVD/VCR player and displaying an arbitrary logo to outside.
